Identity and address

Making by Hand is the data controller (responsable del tratamiento) responsible for the collection, use, storage and protection of the personal data gathered through this site, in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).

Data processing principles

Making by Hand observes the principles of lawfulness, quality, consent, information, purpose, loyalty, proportionality and accountability in the processing of personal data, per Article 6 of the LFPDPPP.

Personal data we process

  • Identification and contact data: full name, email address, phone number and, where applicable, city and country.
  • Billing data: legal name, tax ID (RFC), tax address and related invoicing information, where applicable.
  • With your consent, anonymous site-usage data via analytics (cookies).

Purposes of processing (finalidades del tratamiento)

Primary purposes: identifying and contacting you; responding to information or quote requests sent through the contact form; preparing proposals and related documents; handling payments and invoicing where applicable; complying with contractual, administrative, accounting and legal obligations; keeping internal records; and responding to lawful requests from competent authorities.

Additionally, Making by Hand may use your data for secondary purposes (news, promotions, marketing, internal studies). You may opt out of any or all secondary purposes by emailing [email protected]; opting out will never be grounds for denying the services you request.

Transfers

Personal data may be transferred to third parties only when required by law or a treaty Mexico is party to; when necessary to perform a contract with the data subject; for public-interest or justice-administration purposes; to exercise or defend a right in judicial proceedings; or to maintain a legal or commercial relationship between Making by Hand and the data subject.

This site may use analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner; you may decline and the site will keep working. You can configure your browser to accept, block or delete cookies at any time.

Data protection

Making by Hand implements reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use or access, limiting access to those who need it for the purposes described here.

ARCO rights

You have the rights of access (acceso), rectification (rectificación), cancellation (cancelación) and objection (oposición) regarding your personal data ("ARCO rights"). To exercise them, per Article 29 of the LFPDPPP, send a request to [email protected] including your name and a reply channel, proof of identity or legal representation, and a clear description of the data concerned. We will respond within 20 business days (extendable with justification). You may also limit the use or disclosure of your data, or revoke your consent, through the same procedure.

Data retention

Making by Hand keeps your data only as long as needed for the purposes described and for legal, contractual, tax or rights-defense obligations, after which it is blocked, cancelled or deleted as permitted by applicable law.

Changes to this notice

Making by Hand may modify this Privacy Notice at any time. Changes will be published on this site — please review it periodically.
